In May, 2009 The Federal Communications Commission selected the women owned, Cincinnati-based services firm of the Tekreation Center, LLC to provide mobile clinics throughout economically distressed areas of Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, and Dayton, Ohio. Clinics were designed to train seniors, low income families, non-English speakers and the disabled to use the digital TV conversion boxes, educate consumers about reception concerns, and do a public information campaign about the conversion that targeted those underserved populations.

The campaign ensured vulnerable populations were aware of the impending analog to digital TV conversion; what their options were to keep TV reception; and that help was available through the $50 off convertor box coupons, 24 hour tech support hotline, and the DTV conversion box training.
